Who We Are
We believe our purpose can be summed up in one statement: Building Lives. . . Building Families. . . Building Community.
First of all, we want our church to be a place where ordinary people come to know, on a personal level, an extraordinary God. Believing that God is about building into our individual lives by guiding, encouraging and teaching his followers.
Next, we want to help people grow into fully devoted disciples of Jesus. We don't think it's any good when people commit their lives to Jesus, but never grow in their faith. We believe that if we don't help move people from "convert" to "disciple," then we're not fulfilling God's call on our church. We think that this growth happens best when people come together to form a community of believers. . .believers who truly come to know one another on more than just the surface level. We know this growing happens best in the family unit. Knowing God wants not only to build our individual lives, but also our families. We want you to meet others here who can walk through life with you, people who will share in your joys and bear your hurts with you.
Finally, we want to be a place where believers build into our community, city, and world to make a difference in other people's lives. We don't think it's enough for Christians just to come to church and sit in the nice, comfortable pews. We have a responsibility to love the unlovable, feed the hungry, and care for those in need.
